Hiya, take a look at your plans. Perhaps there is a simple partition wall that could be removed allowing for a much bigger room. Just make sure that if you live in an apartment that you dont end up knocking the wall into your neighbours bedroom. (Difficult to explain that one :)

hello all,
Thanks for the tips and ideas, some are easy and some take more planning. You have a good mix listed there and I may try some of them.

I may be going all out and redoing my flooring in the bath and kitchen areas soon. First I need to make a plan and see what the costs look like.

Nice Post. I like it. I have actually been thinking of getting a rug in my living room lately as I think it just needs something more. I have another idea for you as well. Get some new window treatments. These are often a custom type thing and can be pricey but even just some new blinds or shades can really alter the look of a room. Hope everything is going well Shannon. Ciao.

Thank you for this great post, I am getting my apartment painted and want to redecorate a little but don't have a large amount of $$$$. My question is the area rug should you make sure it matches the furniture or the wall color?
