Ceramic Tiles
Historically these have been the main type of tile available and are used as both wall tiles and floor tiles. Ceramic floor tiles are not generally suitable for outdoor use due to the change in temperatures from season to season. However the ceramic tiles glaze used on the top surface makes it ideal for use as kitchen tiles and bathroom tiles as it prevent moisture penetration when the right grouts and adhesives are used
Natural Stone Wall Tiles
Is a collective term for a large variety of products including travertine, marble, granite, limestone, tumbled marble. As they are “natural” tiles they are often very hard-wearing (and to cut!) However natural stone tiles can also be porous and require treating or sealing before use
Porcelain Floor Tile
Porcelain Tiles are generally harder wearing than ceramic tiles and virtually impervious to water, making them frost resistant. Porcelain tiles are used either for indoor or outdoor applications, on walls and floors. Often manufactured in larger sizes than ceramic.
